A 12-year-old boy has been arrested for assault following a brutal attack on a motorcyclist in Ventura County, California. The assault took place on April 4, when the motorcyclist was allegedly surrounded by a large group of juveniles on bikes and e-bikes.
Details of the Incident
According to police reports, the group, which numbered nearly 200 juveniles, surrounded the motorcyclist who had stopped at a red light. The boy and other members of the group allegedly knocked the motorcyclist off his bike and proceeded to kick and punch him while he was on the ground. After the attack, the group reportedly fled the scene.
When police arrived shortly afterward, the group was still in the area. Authorities were able to identify the 12-year-old boy as one of the suspects, based on information from a witness. He was arrested and taken into custody at the Ventura County Juvenile Hall. Due to his age, his name has not been released to the public.
