A shocking incident in St. Rose has left the local community disturbed after a man suspected of breaking into his ex-girlfriend’s home was later found dead on nearby train tracks.

Suspect Allegedly Breaks Into Ex-Girlfriend’s Home
According to the St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office, the incident took place around 9 p.m. on Tuesday night in St. Rose. The suspect, identified as 23-year-old Taegan Pourciau, allegedly fired a gun at the glass door of his ex-girlfriend’s house.
The gunshot shattered the door, allowing him to enter the home. Authorities believe the act was intentional and part of a forced break-in.
At the time of the incident, Pourciau’s ex-girlfriend and another man were inside the house. The situation quickly turned tense and frightening for those present.
Victims Managed to Escape Safely
Fortunately, both individuals inside the home were able to escape before the situation became more dangerous.
Officials reported that:
- Pourciau’s ex-girlfriend managed to leave the house after pleading with him.
- Another man who was inside the house escaped by climbing out through a window.
