A man has been arrested in connection with a police pursuit that ended at a Port Allen Red Roof Inn, West Baton Rouge officials said.
Arrest and Charges
Charles Mangrum was taken into custody and charged with aggravated assault with a motor vehicle on a peace officer and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Background of the Pursuit
According to reports, Mangrum allegedly fired at officers in Slidell, Louisiana, during the incident. The pursuit was part of a U.S. Marshals operation.
Mangrum was also wanted for parole violations related to previous s*x offense convictions.
