The incident took place in Assumption Parish near Paincourtville along LA 70. Back on July 26, 2023, deputies responded to reports of a stolen vehicle and a nearby burglary. Residents had reported that a Chrysler Aspen was taken, and another vehicle in the area had also been broken into.
The case remained under investigation as detectives worked to identify those responsible for the crimes.
Arrest of the Second Suspect
According to Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office, Sheriff Leland Falcon announced the arrest of 29-year-old Tyrean T. Harry from St. James.
Harry was recently transferred from Ascension Parish Jail and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on March 26, 2026. His arrest comes after investigators gathered enough evidence linking him to the 2023 crimes.
Charges Against the Accused
Harry is facing multiple charges related to the incident. These include theft of a motor vehicle, simple burglary of a motor vehicle, and resisting an officer. He is currently in custody and waiting for a bond hearing.
Earlier Conviction in the Case
Authorities also confirmed that another suspect, Darrel Anthony Morris Jr., had already been arrested earlier in the investigation. He has since been convicted and sentenced for his role in the case.
