A Rayne man was arrested on multiple drug charges after law enforcement officers carried out a raid at his home on Thursday morning. Authorities said the operation was part of an ongoing narcotics investigation conducted by the Acadia Parish Sheriff’s Office.
Brandon Moore, 43, of Rayne, is facing several serious charges related to illegal drugs. According to officials, he has been charged with two counts of distribution of methamphetamine. He is also charged with possession with intent to distribute Xanax, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Drug Raid Conducted Near Rayne
The arrest happened after narcotics agents, along with the Acadia Parish Sheriff’s Office Special Response Team, executed a search warrant at a home located in the 100 block of Dove Street, just south of Rayne.
Sheriff K.P. Gibson said the investigation began after authorities allegedly made several purchases of illegal narcotics connected to the suspect. Officials stated that these purchases took place at the residence involved in the investigation.
Law enforcement officers carried out the operation early Thursday morning as part of their efforts to stop illegal drug activity in the parish. Authorities have not released additional details about the evidence recovered during the search.
Charges Filed Against Brandon Moore
