A narcotics bust in Tangipahoa Parish resulted in arrests and drug seizures

Law enforcement agencies in Tangipahoa Parish conducted a coordinated multi-agency operation resulting in the arrests of two men and the search for a third suspect on allegations of possessing and distributing illegal drugs. The operation led to the seizure of large amounts of narcotics, firearms, and cash.

Two Men Arrested in Hammond Drug Bust

On Friday, May 8, SWAT teams from the Hammond Police Department Narcotics Division, the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division, and the Louisiana Division of Probation and Parole executed multiple search warrants in Hammond and Tickfaw.

The warrants targeted locations along Booker Road II in Hammond and Robertson Road in Tickfaw.

Items Seized During Search

Authorities confiscated the following:

  • Approximately 121 grams of suspected cocaine (powder)
  • Approximately 23.5 grams of suspected crack cocaine
  • Approximately 13 grams of suspected heroin
  • Approximately 66 grams of suspected fentanyl
  • Approximately 20 ounces of suspected kratom (powder)
  • Multiple pills and 2 suboxone films
  • Small amount of marijuana
  • Several firearms, including a reported stolen weapon
  • Multiple items of drug paraphernalia
  • $39,355 in cash

Alex “Big Al” Rogers, 46, Hammond

  • Possession with intent to distribute cocaine
  • Possession with intent to distribute fentanyl
  • Possession of crack cocaine
  • Possession of suboxone films
  • Possession of a firearm in the presence of a controlled substance
  • Three counts of convicted felon in possession of a firearm
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia
  • Illegal possession of a stolen firearm (pending)

Jessie “Pookie” Osby, 31, Tickfaw

  • Possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine
  • Possession with intent to distribute fentanyl
  • Possession with intent to distribute Oxycodone Hydrochloride
  • Possession with intent to distribute Xanax
  • Possession of a firearm in the presence of a controlled substance
  • Convicted felon in possession of a firearm
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia

Jerome Rogers, 42 – Wanted

TPSO deputies are actively searching for Jerome Rogers, who faces the following charges:

  • Possession with intent to distribute cocaine
  • Possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine
  • Possession with intent to distribute heroin
  • Possession with intent to distribute kratom
  • Violation of parole
