A server in New York City went viral on TikTok after sharing a story about a customer who allegedly left his phone number on a restaurant bill despite reportedly having a girlfriend and children at home.
The story, first highlighted by BroBible, quickly gained attention online and received more than 200,000 views.
Customer Left Note on Receipt
TikTok user Misha Benchikova, known online as @mishagrebenchikova, explained that the customer had been dining with a woman when he began asking personal questions during the meal.
According to Benchikova, the man asked whether she was married. After she said no, he reportedly replied that he was “just asking.”
When paying the bill, the customer allegedly left his name and phone number along with a note that read, “Since you’re not married.”
Co-Worker Recognized the Name
Benchikova later showed the receipt to a co-worker, who reportedly recognized the customer’s name immediately.
According to the TikTok video, the co-worker searched the man’s Facebook profile and found photos showing he had a girlfriend and two children.
Reports stated the woman dining with him at the restaurant was believed to be a friend rather than his partner.
Comment Section Divided
The viral post quickly sparked debate in the comments section.
Some viewers joked about the situation, while others strongly criticized the customer’s alleged behavior.
Several commenters urged Benchikova to contact the man’s girlfriend and share what happened.
Others argued there could be explanations the public did not know, including the possibility of an open relationship.
Discussion Expanded Beyond the Viral Video
The situation also started broader conversations online about how customers sometimes misread friendliness from servers as romantic interest.
Users on social media pointed out that restaurant workers are expected to be polite and engaging as part of their jobs.
The incident also drew comparisons to other recent viral relationship stories shared online.
No Public Update From TikTok Creator
As of now, Misha Benchikova has not publicly said whether she contacted the customer’s girlfriend or responded to the note left on the receipt.
The viral TikTok continues generating reactions as viewers debate whether the customer’s actions crossed the line.
