Police in Jeanerette have arrested two New Iberia men following an investigation into an incident that allegedly involved a pregnant woman being thrown from a moving vehicle.
Authorities identified the suspects as Brett Michael Phillips, 34, and Chris Adam Phillips, 36.
The arrests followed a report received by the Jeanerette Police Department on Friday evening regarding a woman who had reportedly been forced from a moving vehicle on Katherine Street.
Residents Alert Police to Emergency
According to investigators, police received a call at approximately 6:26 p.m. from concerned residents who witnessed the incident.
Community members quickly came to the aid of the victim and provided important information to responding officers about the vehicle and the individuals involved.
Their assistance helped investigators rapidly identify and locate the suspects.

Authorities confirmed that the victim is pregnant.
