A 26-year-old Springfield man has been arrested after allegedly gaining unauthorized access to his ex-girlfriend’s home security system. Casen Maggio is accused of changing his ex’s security account login details in order to monitor her home’s exterior surveillance footage.
The Incident
The investigation into Maggio’s actions began on April 27, when deputies discovered that he had accessed his ex-girlfriend’s security system account and altered the login information. This gave him access to the surveillance footage from outside her home, raising concerns about stalking and privacy violations.
Arrest and Charges
Maggio was arrested on Wednesday and charged with stalking, as well as tampering with surveillance, accounting, inventory, or monitoring systems. Authorities confirmed that Maggio had a prior arrest in 2022 on domestic ab*se charges.
