The Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office (APSO) has arrested a man accused of multiple felony drug and gun violations.

Investigation and Arrest

Kevin Truehill, 42, was the focus of an ongoing drug investigation in Napoleonville, Louisiana. On February 13, APSO agents executed a search warrant at a home on Kennedy Street, recovering crack cocaine and drug paraphernalia. Truehill was wanted on several outstanding felony warrants at the time.

Extradition and Charges

Truehill was arrested in Harris County, Texas, on April 30 and extradited to Louisiana. He was booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center.

Authorities reported multiple charges against him, including:

  • Possession of crack cocaine
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia
  • Cruelty to juveniles with force or violence
  • Battery of a dating partner
  • Unauthorized use of a motor vehicle
  • Simple criminal damage to property

He also failed to appear for prior charges including possession of a schedule II drug, obstruction of justice, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Current Status

Truehill remains in custody with a bond set at $145,000, according to APSO. The investigation into the drug activity continues.
