A shocking incident from Wisconsin has left many people disturbed, as a simple disagreement over dinner reportedly turned into a deadly argument. The case involves a young couple, and the details shared by police paint a troubling picture of how quickly situations can escalate.
What Happened in the Case
According to police reports, Mikayla Kloth, aged 27, has been arrested and charged with killing her boyfriend, Lukas Rosch, who was 25 years old. The incident took place at her apartment in Lac La Belle.
The argument reportedly started when Kloth wanted to go out for dinner. However, Rosch arrived at her apartment with chicken drumsticks and seasoning, planning to cook at home instead. This unexpected change in plans led to a heated argument between the two.
Police documents suggest that the disagreement quickly turned serious. During the argument, Rosch allegedly grabbed a knife by its blade. Kloth then pushed the knife into his chest, causing a fatal injury.
What Police Found at the Scene
When emergency services reached the apartment, they found Rosch lying on the floor with a stab wound in his chest. He was immediately taken to the hospital but was later declared dead.
Police questioned Kloth at the scene, and she reportedly admitted to the act. According to reports, when asked if there had been a struggle, she said clearly that she had stabbed him.
She was then taken to the police station for further questioning.
Statements Made After the Incident
During the police process, Kloth was reportedly talkative. Authorities said she made several statements, including that she should have just gone out to a bar instead. She also mentioned that the situation was irritating and expressed concern that Rosch’s parents would now hate her.
In her statement, she explained that she had earlier told Rosch not to come over because she wanted to go out. Despite that, he came with ingredients and planned to cook using an air fryer.
She also reportedly told officers that if they needed to arrest her, she was okay with it.
Earlier Signs of Trouble in the Relationship
Investigators also spoke to people who knew the couple. A woman living in the same building and the landlord both shared concerning details.
The woman said that about a week before the incident, Rosch seemed scared of Kloth. She claimed he told her about a previous incident where Kloth had bitten his thumb. He even asked her to remember his full name, saying it might be important if something ever happened to him.
These statements have raised serious concerns about the nature of their relationship before the tragic event.
Legal Action and Current Status
Kloth has now been charged with first-degree intentional homicide, which is a very serious crime. She appeared in court in Waukesha County, where her bond was set at $2 million in cash.
She is currently being held in the county jail and is expected to appear in court again on May 29.
