A New Roads man has been arrested after Baton Rouge police accused him of kidnapping and violently assaulting a woman he was reportedly dating. Investigators allege the incident began outside a nightclub and ended with the victim being left unconscious on a roadway.
Baton Rouge Police Arrest New Roads Man
Baton Rouge Police Department officers arrested 25-year-old Eurell Johnson III on multiple felony charges following an investigation into an alleged assault involving a woman he was dating.
According to arrest documents, the incident took place on May 24 and involved allegations of kidnapping, physical violence, and serious injuries.
Johnson was taken into custody on Thursday and now faces several criminal charges.
Argument Began After Phone Call
According to police, the woman contacted Johnson and asked him to bring her identification to Club Emotions, a nightclub located on North Acadian Thruway in Baton Rouge.
Investigators say the woman told officers that Johnson became angry during the phone conversation after hearing another man speaking in the background.
According to the arrest warrant, Johnson allegedly began cursing aggressively at the woman before arriving at the club.
Police say the confrontation quickly escalated once he arrived at the location.
Woman Claims She Was Forced Into Vehicle
According to investigators, the woman told police that Johnson punched her and forced her into his vehicle outside the club.
Authorities allege that she was placed inside the vehicle against her will.
The victim reportedly told officers that she repeatedly attempted to escape but was unable to do so because Johnson allegedly prevented her from leaving.
Police say the allegations formed the basis for the kidnapping-related charge filed against the suspect.
Alleged Assault Continued Along Blount Road
Investigators allege that Johnson later stopped the vehicle along Blount Road.
According to the victim’s statement, Johnson pulled her out of the vehicle and continued the attack.
Police say he allegedly punched and kicked the woman multiple times before leaving her on the roadway.

According to police reports, the woman was discovered with a black eye and blood coming from her mouth.
