The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department Fontana Station has launched a major investigation following a residential burglary reported on April 22, 2026, at 8:34 p.m. in the 00 block of 26th Street in San Antonio Heights, an unincorporated area of Upland, California.

Detectives quickly discovered that the break-in was part of a coordinated criminal operation targeting residential properties across Southern California.

Investigation and Evidence

Authorities worked closely with multiple law enforcement agencies in the region after surveillance footage and investigative leads suggested a pattern of organized burglaries.

The suspects reportedly used sophisticated methods, including fraudulent license plates, WiFi and signal jamming devices, camouflaged wireless surveillance cameras, and other equipment designed to disable home security systems and monitor residences prior to the crimes.

Suspects and Arrests

The four individuals identified are Jesus Velez-Hernandez, 35; Sergio Paez-Cuervo, 38; Javier Pulido-Ramirez, 41; and Akssel Cadena-Diaz, 29, all Colombian nationals. Search warrants executed in Los Angeles County led to the recovery of stolen property, burglary tools, electronic jamming devices, and surveillance equipment believed to be linked to additional residential burglaries across the region.

Three of the suspects are currently in custody in Ventura County, while the fourth was booked at the West Valley Detention Center and is being held without bail.

Public Assistance and Safety Measures

Authorities are urging residents with information about the case to contact the Fontana Sheriff’s Station at (909) 356-6767 or report tips anonymously through We-Tip or online channels. Investigators are also releasing details about the methods and equipment used in these burglaries to educate the public, identify potential victims, and assist partner agencies in solving similar cases.
