A Wyoming police sergeant has been arrested for stalking and threatening a nurse at her hospital. Nicholas Joseph Kaminski, 36, allegedly sent repeated threatening messages, telling her, “U have 3 minutes” to come outside “or I’m coming in,” while armed with a loaded handgun. The shocking case took place at Weston County Health Services Hospital and has raised serious safety concerns.
Stalking and Harassment at the Hospital
According to court documents, Kaminski repeatedly called and texted the nurse while she was outside the hospital. He allegedly demanded she come out, saying, “Take your f—ing a— outside or I will come in.” In other messages, he warned, “U have 3 minutes to either come out here or answer the phone,” and added, “Answer the f—ing phone.”
When the nurse tried to calm him, replying, “Please just stop all of this. It doesn’t have to be like this,” Kaminski reportedly continued to harass her, saying, “U made this worse by not coming outside.”
Late-Night Threats
The harassment continued late into the night. A hospital employee reported seeing a man in dark clothing, believed to be Kaminski, loitering outside around 3:30 a.m. Later, as the nurse was leaving the hospital just before 4 a.m., Kaminski appeared again and headed toward her car.
A law enforcement officer accompanying the nurse intervened, telling Kaminski, “She doesn’t want to talk to you.” Kaminski allegedly replied, “I don’t give a f—. Shut the f— up,” and ran toward her vehicle.
Weapons Found and Arrest
Kaminski was arrested and charged with aggravated assault and battery, and threatening another person with a drawn deadly weapon. Police found a loaded Glock 48 handgun on him, with one round chambered and 10 rounds in the magazine. They also recovered a large folding knife, brass knuckles, and his cellphone.
Following the arrest, Kaminski was relieved from his duties as a police sergeant. He is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday.
Why This Case Matters
This case highlights the dangers of workplace harassment, especially when weapons are involved. It shows the importance of reporting threats and taking safety precautions. It also raises concerns about accountability for law enforcement officers, proving that no one is above the law.
