Police in Kenner, Louisiana responded to an active situation Friday following a vehicle pursuit involving a wanted suspect. Authorities said the incident ended at the intersection of Chateau Boulevard and Vintage Drive after multiple vehicles were struck during the chase.
Suspect taken into custody after pursuit
According to the Kenner Police Department, officers were pursuing a wanted subject when the suspect’s vehicle collided with both a police unit and another vehicle.
Investigators said the crash occurred in the 4100 block of Medoc Drive during the pursuit. The suspect vehicle eventually came to a stop at the intersection of Chateau Boulevard and Vintage Drive.
Police confirmed that the suspect has been taken into custody.
Emergency crews evaluating those involved
Emergency medical services responded to the scene and are evaluating the people involved in the crash.
Officials have not yet confirmed whether there were any injuries or the extent of any possible injuries.
The crash involved at least three vehicles:
- The suspect’s vehicle
- A Kenner Police Department patrol unit
- Another vehicle in the area
