HOLDEN, LOUISIANA — Deputies in Livingston Parish are searching for a man wanted in connection with the theft of a $5,000 riding lawnmower and attempted theft of other property earlier this month.
Suspect Identified in Mower Theft
According to authorities, 37‑year‑old Derwin Johnson, of Hammond, Louisiana, is wanted for the theft of a red and gray Exmark Lazer Z riding mower from a property along Florida Boulevard in Holden on March 10, 2026.
Deputies say Johnson is also accused of trying to steal several other items from the same property during the incident.
Charges Filed
Officials report that Johnson is facing:
- One count of felony theft
- Two counts of attempted felony theft
These charges stem from the lawnmower theft and the other alleged attempted thefts at the property.
Second Suspect at Large
Investigators also say they are searching for a second suspect connected to the crime. This individual has not yet been identified and remains at large.
