A Long Island mother of three has been found dead in a car in Suffolk County, and a suspect has been charged with her murder, police said.

Mother Found Dead in Suffolk County

Juliann Bachmann, 30, of Bellport, was discovered injured and unresponsive in a vehicle at the Speedway gas station in Yaphank just before 7:30 a.m. on Saturday, according to the Suffolk County Police Department.

She was rushed to NYU Langone Hospital — Suffolk in Patchogue but later died from her injuries.

Suspect Arrested

About 12 hours after the discovery, police arrested Michael McHenry, 40, also of Bellport. He has been charged with second-degree murder. McHenry was taken into custody just before 8:15 p.m. and held overnight ahead of a scheduled arraignment on Sunday at First District Court in Central Islip.

Investigation Ongoing

Police have not released details about Bachmann’s cause of death or her relationship with the suspect.
