A shocking kidnapping case in Idaho has ended with prison sentences for two young men accused of carrying out a violent and carefully planned attack on an 18-year-old victim.
Prosecutors say the suspects lured the teenager to a construction site under the false promise of taking motorcycle photographs before allegedly tasing, beating, and threatening him. Authorities also say the attackers forced the victim to send breakup messages to his girlfriend while threatening to kill him and his family if he reported the crime.
The disturbing case has drawn attention because of the extreme violence involved and the unusual motive connected to the victim’s relationship.
What Happened to Jordan Carrillo?
According to prosecutors, the incident happened on September 5, 2025, in a subdivision under construction in Eagle, Idaho, located near Boise.
Eighteen-year-old Jordan Carrillo reportedly agreed to meet someone who claimed to be interested in taking pictures of his motorcycle.
Authorities say the meeting was actually a setup planned by 21-year-old Devin Larson and 22-year-old Steen Thomas Lamb.
After one photo was taken, prosecutors say Larson instructed Carrillo to turn around. At that moment, Lamb allegedly appeared from behind and used a Taser on the victim.
Teen Allegedly Tied Up and Attacked
Investigators said Larson and Lamb tied Carrillo’s wrists and legs using zip ties before placing a bag over his body.
According to prosecutors, the attackers repeatedly punched and kicked the victim in the head and body during the assault. Authorities also stated the suspects used the Taser multiple times while Carrillo was restrained.
The violent attack reportedly lasted for nearly an hour.
During the assault, prosecutors claim Lamb pressed a gun against Carrillo’s chest and threatened to kill him if he refused to break up with his girlfriend.
Forced Breakup Messages Sent From Victim’s Phone
According to the Ada County Prosecutor’s Office, the suspects took Carrillo’s phone and forced him to send breakup text messages to his girlfriend.
Authorities have not publicly explained why the suspects were so determined to end the relationship.
After the assault, Larson and Lamb eventually released Carrillo but allegedly warned him they would kill him, his sister, and other family members if he contacted police.
Prosecutors said Carrillo rode away from the scene on his motorcycle fearing he might be shot from behind.
Both Men Sentenced to Prison
The case ended with both defendants pleading guilty to second-degree kidnapping charges.
On Friday, Devin Larson received a seven-year prison sentence, with two years fixed.
Steen Thomas Lamb received a longer sentence of 13 years in prison, with three years fixed.
The Ada County Prosecutor’s Office confirmed both men will serve time for their roles in the attack.
Prosecutors Praise Victim’s Courage
Ada County Prosecutor Jan Bennetts praised Jordan Carrillo for reporting the crime despite the threats against him and his family.
In a public statement, Bennetts described the attack as planned, calculated, and extremely violent.
She stated the suspects used deception, intimidation, violence, and fear to control the victim before threatening his loved ones to stop him from speaking to authorities.
Prosecutors argued the prison sentences reflect the seriousness of the crimes committed.
