Kentucky authorities have confirmed that the body of missing college student Murry “Alexis” Foust has been found, bringing a tragic end to the weeks-long search that began after the Northern Kentucky University student disappeared in late April.
According to the Covington Police Department, Foust’s body was discovered in Wilder, located a few miles away from Covington, where they were last seen on April 27.
Police said the discovery was made by an independently organised search group.
Student Vanished After Planning to Attend Classes
Friends previously told local media that Foust had planned to attend classes at Northern Kentucky University on the day they disappeared.
However, they never arrived.
According to reports, Foust’s phone had been left behind at home, while their backpack was later discovered on the university campus.
The unusual circumstances surrounding the disappearance led to growing concern among friends, family members, and volunteers involved in the search effort.
Body Found by Independent Search Group
Authorities confirmed that Foust’s body was located in Wilder by an independent volunteer search team.
Police also publicly thanked EquuSearch Midwest along with other local agencies that assisted during the search operation.
The department said the case remains under investigation as officials work to determine exactly what happened.
No Signs of Foul Play at This Time
According to investigators, there is currently no indication of foul play connected to Foust’s death.
However, officials stressed that the official cause and manner of death have not yet been determined.
Those findings will be released later by the Campbell County Coroner’s Office.
Police also stated that no further details about the case would be released until the coroner’s investigation is complete.

In a public statement, the Covington Police Department expressed sympathy for Foust’s family and loved ones.
