Dallas, TX – Democratic U.S. Representative Jasmine Crockett of Dallas has revealed her plans to start a leadership PAC after she concludes her time in Congress at the end of this year. Crockett disclosed these details for the first time during an interview on the Sherri syndicated TV show last Wednesday.
Introducing the FIRE PAC
Crockett’s new PAC, named FIRE: Fuel Individual Rights Everywhere, will focus on supporting political candidates nationwide.
In her announcement, she emphasized the importance of educating the public on the responsibilities and actions of elected officials. “I’m going to go on tour across the country,” Crockett said. “We are going to educate people about what it is that elected officials can do, should be doing, and what they’re doing wrong.”
Losing Senate Primary, But Moving Forward
The announcement follows Crockett’s loss to Democratic State Representative James Talarico of Austin in the Democratic primary for U.S. Senate on March 3rd. Despite this defeat, she is determined to stay active in politics and continue her mission to empower others through her PAC.
Background and Career
Crockett, who has represented Texas’ 30th Congressional District since 2023 after succeeding long-time Congresswoman Eddie Bernice Johnson, also served in the Texas House of Representatives from 2021 to 2023.
During her time in Congress, Crockett gained national attention for her vocal criticism of political figures such as President Trump, Governor Greg Abbott, and former Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene. She also served as a surrogate for former President Joe Biden and former Vice President Kamala Harris during their campaigns.
