Police in New Orleans are investigating a homicide after a man was found dead early on Saturday morning, authorities reported.
According to the New Orleans Police Department (NOPD), officers responded around 4:30 a.m. to a report of a suspicious person in the Little Woods neighborhood. Upon arriving at the scene, near the intersection of West Laverne Street and Erin Drive, they discovered an adult male who was unresponsive.
Emergency medical services pronounced the man dead at the scene.
Investigators have classified the incident as a homicide, although the exact cause of death has not yet been determined. As of now, no suspects have been identified.
The investigation is still ongoing, and authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward.
