On January 7, 2026, Franklin Darville III pled guilty to charges of possession with intent to distribute a Schedule II controlled dangerous substance, possession with intent to distribute fentanyl, and possession with intent to distribute a Schedule I controlled dangerous substance.
The plea followed an extensive investigation by narcotics detectives from the Gonzales Police Department and the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office.
The investigation into Darville began in March 2025 when law enforcement received information suggesting that he was distributing large quantities of heroin and methamphetamine in Ascension Parish.
