Rapper Kodak Black, whose real name is Bill Kapri, was arrested on Wednesday in connection with an alleged drug trafficking incident in Florida that occurred last year. The 28-year-old artist is facing charges related to trafficking MDMA after a police search in Orlando on November 24, 2025.
Details of the Incident
According to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, officers responded to a 911 call reporting gunshots in the area. During their investigation, they searched vehicles nearby and reportedly found a bag in the trunk containing 56 grams of cannabis, which was packaged in sealed cannabis bags.
In addition, a metal container was discovered, which allegedly contained a pink pill substance. This substance later tested positive for MDMA, according to the police report.
The search also uncovered a bag containing Kapri’s ID, money, and a bottle of Promethazine Hydrochloride, a substance often associated with codeine-containing cough syrup.
Allegations of Ownership
The police report also noted that the search yielded a pair of pink scissors and a pink bag, both featured in an image from Kodak Black’s Instagram account. Investigators allege that these items were discovered during the search and contained the contraband. When officers questioned those present about ownership of the items, all denied ownership, including Kapri.
Kapri reportedly attempted to claim the money found in the bag, stating it belonged to his business, but he did not claim ownership of the bag or any of its other contents.
Court Hearing and Charges
Kapri was arrested and is facing drug trafficking charges related to the alleged incident. As of Thursday afternoon, he was awaiting a court hearing on the charges. This arrest marks another legal issue for the rapper, who has faced multiple run-ins with the law in the past.
