A Louisiana man who gained online attention through a viral documentary has now been arrested on serious criminal charges, including rape and extortion. Authorities say the case unfolded after new allegations surfaced during the making of the documentary.
Accused Identified
The accused, Ricky Foster (46), was arrested by the Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office following multiple allegations of s**ual abuse and financial crimes.
Documentary That Sparked the Investigation
Foster was the subject of a documentary titled “The Devil Wears Dunks,” which gained millions of views online.
The project reportedly began in late 2025 after Foster contacted a California-based shoe store, claiming to be a wealthy investor and sneaker expert.
The store owner, Jeremy Greene, along with his team, began investigating Foster’s claims after noticing inconsistencies in his story.
Allegations of Fraud and Deception
According to the documentary team, Foster allegedly made false claims about his wealth and business ventures, including promises of a $15 million investment into a tech platform.
As they dug deeper, multiple individuals reportedly came forward accusing him of deception and financial misconduct, particularly targeting small business owners.
S**ual Abuse Allegations Surface
The case took a more serious turn when law enforcement received allegations from a woman who claimed she was in a relationship with Foster in 2023.
According to authorities:
- She was allegedly forced into s**ual acts multiple times during their nine-month relationship
- Foster allegedly accumulated over $70,000 in credit card debt in her name without her consent
- The victim claimed she was coerced into compliance under threats that the money would not be repaid
Sheriff Jason Ard stated that the victim felt trapped and manipulated.
Charges Filed Against Foster
Foster now faces multiple serious charges, including:
- 10 counts of third-degree rape
- 10 counts of extortion
- 4 counts of s**ual battery
Authorities believe there may be additional victims and are urging others to come forward.
Community Ties Under Scrutiny
Foster was also associated with a local group called “Dads of Denham,” which organised community events and fundraisers. Investigators are now reviewing whether any financial misconduct occurred in connection with those activities.
Documentary Team Reacts
Members of the documentary team said their initial goal was to expose fraudulent claims, but the project evolved into uncovering alleged criminal behaviour.
Jeremy Greene praised his team’s efforts, stating that their work helped bring justice to victims and assist law enforcement in building the case.
Investigation Ongoing
Authorities are continuing to gather evidence and assess whether additional charges may be filed. The case has drawn widespread attention due to its combination of alleged fraud, abuse, and the role of social media in exposing the suspect.
