What Happened at the Hotel Pool
Officers responded to a possible drowning at a hotel pool, where they found a young girl unconscious and foaming at the mouth. CPR was already in progress when they arrived, but the child’s parents were nowhere to be found at the scene.
According to the police report, Alfred later arrived holding an alcoholic drink, and when questioned, he admitted that he had left his 6-year-old son and 4-year-old daughter unattended at the hot tub for about five minutes while he went to a bar.

When emergency responders asked for permission to take the children to the hospital, Alfred initially refused, despite being told that there was a significant risk of health complications for his daughter. After some back and forth, Alfred eventually allowed the children to be taken to the hospital.
Meanwhile, a man who found the girl unconscious in the pool and administered CPR told police that the girl’s brother had approached him for help. The man found the girl foaming at the mouth and unconscious, and there were no parents present.
