A frightening incident unfolded in Beverly Hills after police say a woman fired multiple gunshots toward the home of global music star Rihanna. Authorities confirmed that several shots were fired at the singer’s residence, with at least one bullet reportedly striking the house. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, and the suspect was quickly taken into custody.
Shots Fired at Rihanna’s Beverly Hills Home
Police in Beverly Hills responded to a report of gunfire at around 1:15 p.m. on Sunday, March 8.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, officers arrived at the scene after receiving reports that shots had been fired at the property.
Authorities later confirmed that a suspect was located nearby and arrested without incident. Police also recovered a firearm believed to have been used in the shooting.
Investigators said one of the bullets went through a wall of the home.
Rihanna Reportedly Home During Incident
Sources said that Rihanna was inside the house when the shooting occurred.
The singer lives at the residence with her partner, rapper A$AP Rocky, and their children — RZA, Riot, and Rocki.
While the situation was extremely concerning, sources confirmed that Rihanna was safe and unharmed after the incident.
It remains unclear whether other family members or staff were inside the house at the time.
Suspect Allegedly Fired From a Vehicle
Police said the suspect, described as a 30-year-old woman, allegedly fired several rounds toward the home from inside a vehicle.
Authorities reported that the shots were fired from across the street.
According to police radio dispatch audio, officers initially received reports that about 10 gunshots had been fired at the residence.
The suspect was reportedly driving a white Tesla during the incident.
After the shooting, the vehicle allegedly fled the area along Coldwater Canyon Drive before police located and detained the suspect.
Investigation Being Handled by Specialized Unit
Officials said the case is currently being handled by the Robbery-Homicide Division of the Los Angeles Police Department.
Investigators are now working to determine the motive behind the shooting and whether the suspect specifically targeted Rihanna’s home.
At this time, police have not publicly released the suspect’s name.
