Man Allegedly Attacks Kids in Brooklyn Park

The incident occurred just before 6:30 p.m. last Monday at Bush-Clinton Park in the Red Hook Recreation Area, according to the NYPD.

The suspect reportedly approached three children — a 5-year-old girl, a 7-year-old boy, and a 12-year-old boy. He allegedly knocked the 12-year-old and 5-year-old to the ground, then grabbed the 7-year-old boy by the neck and tried to strangle him.

Suspect Description and Escape

Police released photos showing the suspect wearing a blue T-shirt, black shorts, and grey and orange athletic sneakers. He reportedly fled the scene on foot.

EMS treated all three children. The 7-year-old boy suffered bruising and pain from the choking. It is unclear whether the children’s parents were present during the attack.
