SPD Shreveport Police Seeking a Copper Wire Thief for The Felony Theft

The Shreveport Police Department (SPD) is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a man involved in a recent burglary at Caddo Iron & Supply.

Details of the Burglary

According to SPD, officers responded last month to a burglary report at the business on Mansfield Road. The complainant told police that an unknown male entered the property by climbing over a wall.

Surveillance images of the suspect were captured before he reportedly cut the wires connected to the business’s surveillance system. During the incident, approximately 300 to 400 pounds of insulated copper wiring, valued at around $1,500, was stolen.

Police Appeal to the Community

Shreveport Police are asking anyone with information about the suspect or the burglary to contact the department. Authorities hope that community tips will help identify the individual responsible and recover the stolen materials.
