The incident took place in Tell City, where police responded to a 911 call on March 31. The call was made by Trevor Reichard-Hayes, who reported that his young son was not breathing and had turned blue.
When officers arrived, they found the toddler, Erik Reichard, lying unresponsive on the living room floor. Despite immediate CPR efforts, he was declared dead at the scene.
Delay in Calling for Help
