Man Buying Milk and Rice for Family Shot 14 Times by Woman, Police Report

A shocking case from Tennessee has led to the arrest of an 18-year-old woman accused of killing a man after a young child reportedly told her he had been inappropriately touched.

Authorities say the woman fired multiple shots at the victim using two different guns. The case has sparked intense discussion in the community about vigilantism, justice, and the legal consequences of taking the law into one’s own hands.

Tennessee Woman Charged With Murder After Fatal Shooting

An 18-year-old woman from Tennessee, Alishon Torres, has been charged with first-degree murder after authorities say she shot a man 14 times.

According to court records, Torres also faces additional charges including:

  • Possession of a firearm during a dangerous felony
  • Tampering with or fabricating evidence

She was booked into the Shelby County Jail on Friday and appeared in court for arraignment on Monday.

Victim Identified as 58-Year-Old Man

Family members identified the victim as 58-year-old Noe Santillan Rincon.

Authorities say Rincon had been staying at the home of Torres’ mother at the time of the incident.

According to reports, Rincon was last seen early in the morning on February 26 when he was preparing food for children in the home.

Torres’ mother reportedly saw him getting milk and rice for the children and grandchildren around 1 a.m.

Shortly after that, she began receiving phone calls and text messages from Rincon’s phone. However, Torres was the one speaking during those calls.

Confrontation Over Allegation

Police say Torres later encountered Rincon walking along Willowview Avenue in Memphis.

Investigators say she approached him and asked to borrow his phone.

At that point, she reportedly confronted him about an allegation involving a young child.

According to police, Torres said that about three to four weeks earlier, a 5-year-old relative had told her that Rincon had touched her inappropriately.

Police Say Victim Was Shot 14 Times

Authorities say the confrontation quickly turned violent.

Investigators claim Torres used two different guns to shoot Rincon a total of 14 times.

One of the gunshots reportedly struck him in the head.

At around 2 a.m., a Memphis police officer who was patrolling the area discovered Rincon’s body on Willowview Avenue.

Suspect Allegedly Admitted to Shooting

After the discovery of the body, police questioned Torres.

According to investigators, she admitted to shooting Rincon because of the allegation involving the child.

During the arrest, officers said a .40-caliber Beretta pistol fell out of her purse.

Police noted that the firearm reportedly had no serial number.

Authorities say Torres told them that the Beretta was one of the guns used in the shooting.

She also reportedly said she had sold or given away the second gun.

Evidence Tampering Allegations

Investigators also accuse Torres of attempting to hide evidence after the shooting.

According to police:

  • She allegedly shot Rincon inside a van.
  • She then repainted the vehicle.
  • The van was later abandoned at an apartment complex.

These actions led to the additional charge of tampering with evidence.

Upcoming Court Proceedings

Torres is currently being held in the Shelby County Jail.

She is scheduled to appear in court for a bond hearing on Wednesday.

Another court appearance has been scheduled for March 16 as the case moves forward through the legal system.
