A tragic house fire in Pennsylvania has led to serious criminal charges against a mother after her three young children lost their lives. Prosecutors say the heartbreaking incident could have been prevented if the children had not been left alone inside the home.
Authorities in Erie County announced that 29-year-old Danozjna Shalita Marjie Williams is now facing multiple charges, including third-degree murder, child endangerment, aggravated assault, and reckless endangerment. Investigators believe she left the children unattended while allegedly taking part in a drug-related deal.
According to Erie County District Attorney Elizabeth Hirz, the children were placed in a dangerous situation without proper supervision.

Children Killed in the Deadly Fire
Firefighters rushed to the apartment after receiving emergency calls about the fire. When crews arrived, they faced extremely difficult conditions while trying to enter the building and control the flames.
Sadly, two children died at the scene. A third child was taken to a hospital in Pittsburgh for treatment but later passed away due to severe injuries.
The three children were identified as:
- Tobias Ya’Shan Lee Huff, 5 years old
- Da’Liyla Lelona Huff, 3 years old
- Amirah Al-Mansouri, 5 months old
Officials said the exact cause of the fire is still under investigation.
Investigators believe the children were alone inside the apartment when the fire started. Prosecutors claim Williams had left the home for nearly 50 minutes.
Investigators Reveal New Details
Court documents revealed that firefighters had trouble entering the apartment because a mattress blocked the stairway and a couch was placed in front of the door.
Authorities say Williams returned to the apartment around 4:51 p.m. At first, she reportedly told police that her brother was watching the children. Later, she allegedly changed her statement and claimed she had only stepped out briefly to buy blinds from Walmart.
However, surveillance footage reportedly showed her car leaving the apartment around 4:01 p.m. and returning at 4:51 p.m.
Investigators also said they could not find any proof that she visited Walmart during that time.
Police later reviewed recorded phone calls between Williams and Tyler Huff, the father of two of the children, who was in Erie County Prison. According to investigators, the calls suggested Williams planned to travel to Corry for a drug-related deal involving heroin or fentanyl worth around $300.
Authorities also stated that the landlord called Williams at 4:35 p.m. to inform her that the apartment was on fire. Prosecutors claim she ended the call and still did not immediately return home.
