Zamil Limon and Nahida S. Bristy, both 27 years old, are doctoral students at the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida. Limon is pursuing a PhD in geography, environmental science and policy, while Bristy is studying chemical engineering. They are both from Bangladesh and had built a routine life around their academics, making their sudden disappearance even more concerning for everyone who knows them.
When Were They Last Seen?
The last confirmed sightings of the two students happened on April 16. Zamil Limon was seen around 9:00 in the morning at his home in Tampa. About an hour later, Nahida S. Bristy was spotted at a building on the university campus. After these sightings, there has been no confirmed contact with either of them.
A family friend became worried after being unable to reach them and reported them missing on April 17. This delay was unusual because both students were known to stay in touch regularly.

The families of both students are going through a very difficult time. Speaking from Bangladesh, Limon’s brother, Zubaer Ahmed, described the situation as deeply painful and shocking. He said that his brother is a very responsible and punctual person, which makes the situation feel even more unusual and worrying.
The family also shared that Limon and Bristy were close and had casually discussed the idea of getting married in the future. However, they were mainly focused on completing their studies and building their careers. This detail has added another emotional layer to the case, as their families now struggle to understand what might have happened.
