Voting season is back, and it’s time for sports fans to show their support for their favourite young athletes. The Thibodaux Regional Health System Athletes of the Week for April 6–12 are now open for voting, giving the community a chance to recognise outstanding performances.
What Is Athlete of the Week Voting
The Athlete of the Week program highlights talented students who have performed exceptionally well in their respective sports. Each week, selected athletes get a chance to be recognised for their hard work, dedication, and achievements.
For this week, eight athletes have been nominated, including four boys and four girls. These nominees represent different schools and sports, showcasing a wide range of talent across the region.
How Voting Works
The process is simple and open to everyone. Fans, friends, and family members can cast their votes online to support their favourite athletes.
Voting has already started and will continue until the end of the day on Friday. Once voting closes, the winners will be announced online in the following week.
Why Your Vote Matters
Community support plays a big role in motivating young athletes. Voting is not just about choosing a winner—it’s about encouraging students who put in hours of practice and effort.
When you vote, you help:
- Recognise young talent
- Boost athlete confidence
- Support local school sports
Celebrating Young Talent
Programs like Athlete of the Week are important because they shine a spotlight on students who may not always get national attention but are doing great work at the local level.
These recognitions can inspire other students to participate in sports and give their best.
