A Florida woman has been sentenced to jail and probation after repeatedly stabbing her teenage sister during a violent argument over a cell phone.
Florida Woman Sentenced for Stabbing Sister
Lynn My Le, 26, was sentenced to 180 days in jail and seven years of probation for attacking her 15-year-old sister in Cutler Bay, Florida. The sentence was handed down on May 4, 2026.
The Incident
The attack occurred in October 2025 after Le’s sister woke up on the couch and found her going through her phone. When the teen confronted her and tried to take back the phone, Le allegedly grabbed a knife and stabbed her sister.
The victim tried to run for the door, but Le stabbed her four times in the back. After the teen collapsed, she was stabbed six more times. Le reportedly only stopped after the victim pleaded for her life. Deputies found the teen with at least 10 puncture wounds.
Medical Condition
At the time, Detective Samantha Choon said the victim was “critical, but stable.” The teen was rushed to a hospital for treatment.
Court Proceedings
Le was initially charged with second-degree attempted murder, but she was ultimately convicted of aggravated battery resulting in bodily harm. The court also issued a domestic violence stay-away order. Due to the new charge, her sentence focused more on probation than prison time.
