Lafayette Police have confirmed that a man involved in a serious e-bike crash on Camellia Boulevard has died.
Victim Identified in Lafayette E-Bike Crash
The crash occurred on Friday afternoon, May 15, prompting a large emergency response and temporarily shutting down traffic in the area.
Authorities identified the victim as David Lanclos, a 67-year-old resident of Lafayette. Lanclos was riding an e-bike at the time of the crash and later succumbed to his injuries.

The incident happened around 1:54 p.m. in the 1000 block of Camellia Boulevard, a busy corridor near Johnston Street.
Preliminary reports suggest that a vehicle was attempting to turn left onto northbound Camellia Boulevard from Woods Crossing as the e-bike crossed the roadway.
