A 28-year-old man from Ponchatoula has died following a single-vehicle crash on Highway 42 in Ascension Parish, Louisiana. The Louisiana State Police (LSP) reported that the crash occurred shortly before 6 p.m. on March 14, near Log Cabin Road.

The Crash Details

According to the LSP Troop A news release, Christian Harrell was driving a 2004 Chevrolet Silverado at a high rate of speed when, for reasons still under investigation, he lost control of the vehicle. The truck went off the left side of the road, entered a ditch, and struck a utility pole.

Injuries and Fatality

Harrell sustained serious injuries in the crash and was transported to a nearby hospital. Unfortunately, he later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.

Investigation Ongoing

The exact cause of the crash is still under investigation by Louisiana State Police. Troopers have not provided further details on the circumstances surrounding the incident.
