The Kenner Police Department has announced a new initiative to crack down on drivers operating vehicles without valid liability insurance. This enforcement measure comes as part of the department’s ongoing efforts to ensure road safety and accountability.
Policy Details
Chief Keith Conley stated that any driver found operating a vehicle on public roadways or highways without the statutorily required liability insurance will face strict consequences. The vehicle will be towed and impounded, and it will not be released unless the driver provides proper proof of insurance.
For vehicles registered in Louisiana, the car’s license plate will be seized and submitted to the Department of Motor Vehicles.
Statement from Chief Conley
“Driving without insurance is a risk our community should not have to bear,” said Chief Conley. “If you choose to operate a car illegally, you should expect consequences. Our officers are committed to enforcing the law and protecting the people of Kenner.”
Impact on the Community
This crackdown aims to reduce the number of uninsured drivers on the road and ensure that all vehicles on Kenner’s roadways meet legal insurance requirements, promoting safer driving conditions for everyone.
