A major drug bust in Geismar, Louisiana, led to the arrest of five individuals and the seizure of over $250,000 worth of cash, firearms, and various narcotics.
Authorities from the Gonzales Police Department, Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office, and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) conducted the raid at a residence on Cypress Ridge Drive, which investigators say served as a base for a large drug operation in the capital region.
Large-Scale Drug Operation Busted in Geismar
The law enforcement agencies executed a search warrant at the home on Thursday, uncovering a significant drug trafficking operation. Officers seized $257,750 in cash along with a money counter. They also found approximately one pound of methamphetamine, two pounds of MDMA (ecstasy), along with cocaine, marijuana, and various opioids.
In addition to the drugs and cash, the authorities confiscated three handguns, a rifle, an electronic pill press, and materials used for packaging drugs. They also recovered jewelry, including a wristwatch and necklace, believed to be linked to the illicit activities.
Five Arrests Made
Five individuals were arrested in connection with the operation. The suspects are:

- Christopher Whitfield Jr., 21
- Dwan Marshae Pointer, 42
- Rhesa Pointer, 44
- Kelby Jacobs, 21
Each individual has been booked on multiple drug-related charges. Further details about the investigation have not been released, and authorities say the probe is still ongoing.
