Rebels swim teams finish 7th overall at State

The Riverside Academy swim teams had a strong showing at the Louisiana High School Athletic Association’s State Swim Meet held Nov. 16-17 in Sulphur. Both the boys and the girls teams finished seventh overall, the boys out of 20 teams and the girls out of 22 teams. Both team achieved their goal of surpassing last year’s results.

Individually, Makaya LaRose finished sixth in the 200 IM and 10th in the 100 Fly. Camryn Loving finished seventh in the 50 Free and 12th in the 100 Free. Dakota Jarreau finished sixth in the 200 IM and fourth in the 100 Fly.

The girls relay team finished ninth in the 200 Medley, ninth in the 200 Free and seventh in the 400 Free. The boys relay team finished seventh in both the 200 Free and the 400 Free.
