The Lady Rebels set a new record with 53 homeruns this season

Staff report

The Riverside Academy Lady Rebels are doing everything big this season. The team won the District 9-1A championship with a perfect 10-0 record and finished the regular season 27-6. That earned them a No. 3 seed in the Division IV playoffs and a home playoff game against No. 14 Ouachita Christian on Tuesday, April 19 at 5:30 p.m.

But these Lady Rebels will be remembered for their long ball game. The team broke the school’s homerun record of 51 dingers set in 2017.  And they aren’t done yet.

Leading the team with 14 homers each are Alainah Felton and Camryn Loving. Senior catcher Alonah Felton has eight, along with Corrin Cashio. Ava Fernandez has seven. Chloe St. Pierre and Amber Palermo each have one.
