The Riverside Academy volleyball team is showing  that it knows to fight when it counts.

The Lady Rebels had to fight through every minute of Tuesday’s match against cross-town rival St. Charles Catholic and left with a 25-22, 21-25, 20-25, 25-23, 15-13 victory.

“We knew coming in here — I knew as a coach — they always play us tough,” coach Brandy Melancon said. “I wish we could make it a little easier, but it sure is fun and the community always comes out and supports us.”

Camryn Loving and Myracle Revon had 12 kills each. Loving also had 12 digs. Anna Mistretta  had 24 digs, Myracle Revon and Chloe St. Pierre had 36 assists.

Riverside (5-5) will travel to Haynes on Sept. 20 to face off against the Hornets.
