Rebels Rout Houma Christian 61-0 for Homecoming Win

Five different Rebels scored touchdowns, quarterback Luke Hymel threw three and place kicker Craig Matt kicked seven PATs.

There was no stopping the Riverside Rebels Friday night.

Five different Rebels scored a total of nine touchdowns and the kicker added another seven points to add up to a 61-0 homecoming rout of the Houma Christian Warriors.

Elijah “Bill” Davis, who is currently the leading rusher in the state with , scored three t0uchdowns on three carries and finished with 131 yards. Quarterback Luke Hymel was 5 of 7 for 155 yards and two scores.

Emmanuel “Manny” Franklin scored three touchdowns, two rushing and another on punt that was blocked punt by safety Jared Campbell. Franklin finished with 94 yards on five carries. Dedric Lastie scored two touchdowns, one rushing and the other on a 69 yard reception. He finished with 85 yards on seven carries.

Thomas Mazzella scored on a 10-yard reception from Hymel and Scott White scored on a 70-yard strike from Hymel.

Place kicker Craig Matt was 7 of 9 on extra points.

The Rebels improved to 3-1 on the season. They will travel to take on Country Day Friday afternoon at 4:30 p.m.
