The Riverside Academy volleyball team’s dream season took them to the quarterfinal round of the Division V playoffs at the Cajundome in Lafayette, but it ended abruptly Thursday morning with a 3-0 loss to No. 2 seed Westminster Christian.

The Lady Rebels finished the season 20-17 with a No. 7 seed in the bracket. They reached the quarterfinals of the State Tournament for the first time since 2017. Westminster went on to the Division V finals on Saturday where they lost to No. 1 seed Country Day, which has won the last seven titles in the division.

A strong contingent of Riverside fans rolled to Lafayette for the 9 a.m. match but could not rally the Rebels to victory. Camryn Loving led Riverside with six kills and nine digs.
