When St. John the Baptist Parish officials put out the call for submissions to its annual Krewe de Shoe(box) Mardi Gras shoebox float contest, Ms. Jenna Roussel’s sixth grade art class answered the call. Students have spent the past few weeks turning old shoeboxes into works of art, which will be photographed and submitted. The Parish winner will receive a prize.
