RA’s 44nd Carnival Ball sparkled and shined

Riverside Academy’s Krewe Bord de L’eau presented its 44nd annual Carnival Ball last weekend with the theme “Exploring the Coral Kingdom.” The junior court was presented on Friday, Feb. 3 and the senior court was presented on Saturday, Feb. 4.

Riverside band director, Darryl Clement, ruled over the proceedings as King Triton.   RA graduate Tyler Palermo opened the show by singing “Part of Your World” from Disney’s The Little Mermaid. From SpongeBob to surfers, many of RA’s students from to Pre-K to fifth grade as well as the Southern Sweethearts, RA color guard, and cheerleaders performed dances. After the performances, the courts had their annual slow dance with their special person then retired.
