The Riverside Academy Swim Team competed in three meets recently and added one more to its long list of qualifiers for next month’s State Meet.
Freshman swimmer Sofia Galvez has now qualified for the 50 yard freestyle, the 100 yard freestyle, and now the 200 yard freestyle.
On Sept. 16 the Rebels traveled to E.D. White in Thibodaux and swam all through the night. On Sept. 27 the team went to St. Martin’s with only eight swimmers. The meet on Sept. 30th, hosted by the St. James Aquatic Center, was the morning of the homecoming dance so the swimmers had to quickly get through their events.
The Rebels next meet is the River Parish Invitational on Saturday, Oct. 14 at 9:30 a.m. at St. James Aquatic.
