The final week of Riverside Academy’s sports schedule closed Thursday with mixed results.
For the second year in a row, senior golfer Cole Haase was the state runner-up at the Division IV State Golf Tournament played at The Wetlands in Lafayette. Haase shot 68 on the first day and 71 on the second day.
The Rebels track team sent 10 participants to the Division IV track meet at Louisiana State University on Thursday. Eighth grader Bayli Melancon placed third in the high jump with a personal best 5-0.
Finally, the Rebels baseball team finished its season with an 8-3 loss to Central Catholic in the quarterfinal round of the Division IV Select playoffs.
The athletes will be honored at the Spring Sports Banquet to be held on Thursday, May 16.
