While you’re dreaming comfortably away in your cozy bed, the Riverside Academy swimmers are already up and working hard at their early morning practices at Riverland’s Golf and Country Club.

This is the largest swim team Riverside Academy has ever had. There are a total of 21 swimmers on the high school team this year from eighth graders to seniors. The middle school team consists of fourth to seventh graders. The team is coached by Christine Duhe.

The swim team has five veteran senior swimmers this year: Kallie Bourgeois, MaKayah LaRose, Camryn Loving, Anna Mistretta, and Lea St. Pierre. The other returning and new members include: Emma Babin, Courtney Bordelon, Jaci Bordelon, Kasey Bourgeois, Corrin Cashio, Benjamin Duhe, Jordan Duhe, Taylor Duhe, Sofia Galvez, Jackson Kelly, Cami LaRose, Craig Matt, Brennan Maus, Chloe St. Pierre, Maiah Silvestri, and Brody Vicknair.

RA’s swim team will compete in the first meet of the 2022 season on Saturday, September 10 at 8 a.m. at St. James Aquatics Center in Lutcher.
