Riverside Academy’s future farmers will meet on Friday, Sept. 8 for their first Clover Buds meeting of the 2023-2024 school year.
Clover Buds is a stepping stone under the 4-H program for K-3 students. It consists of six lessons about farming.
Every month Xavier Bell, the 4H leader for St. John Parish, will visit students in kindergarten through third grade to provide a link between youth and farming. This program serves as the first step into 4-H and allows students to decide whether or not they want to be in the 4-H Club when they’re older.
The 4-H Club will meet on Friday as well. Students in fourth through eighth grade will meet from 11:30-12:30. Students in ninth through 12th grade will meet from 12:30-1:30. Both meetings will be held in Room E9 in the elementary building.
