Kayla Rummel is one of those who qualified at one of the later meets.
Rummel said, “At the beginning of the year my goal was to qualify for state as an eighth grader. That Wednesday everything felt kind of different. I had a good feeling about that meet.
Before I swam, Jordan kept telling me that today was going to be the day that I’m going to do it and I actually did it. When I got out of the pool I looked at Coach Christy and she was holding
the state paper while smiling and said that that was one of the fastest times I’ve ever swam.”
